Although FIFA has not yet officially confirmed the venues for the knockout stage of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, fresh claims from Spain suggest that the final could be staged there.

According to the President of the Spanish Football Federation, Spain is set to host the tournament’s final match, even though FIFA has not made any formal announcement regarding the location of the decisive game.

The 2030 World Cup will be jointly hosted across six countries and three continents Spain, Portugal, and Morocco as the main hosts, while Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will each host one match as part of the centenary celebrations of the tournament.

Spanish Football Federation president Rafael Louzán told reporters that the final will be played in Spain, although he did not specify the exact stadium or city. “Spain will be at the top of the World Cup, and the final will be played here,” he said.

However, Morocco is also believed to be pushing for the right to host the final, creating competition among the co-hosting nations.

FIFA has not yet released any official details regarding the knockout-stage schedule or the final venue. Despite this, football federations in host countries have begun making public statements about their expectations.

If confirmed, Spain could host a World Cup final for the first time in 48 years. For now, however, attention remains focused on upcoming international tournaments as preparations continue for the 2030 edition.
