Hotel Owner Injured in Mahendranagar Group Fight; Video Goes Viral

A hotel operator was injured after being attacked by a group of youths in Mahendranagar on Saturday night.

The incident took place at Hotel Grand Pacific located in Galli No. 4 of Mahendranagar. A video of the assault has since gone viral on social media, drawing public attention.

According to the District Police Office, a group of three to four individuals attacked the hotel owner’s brother. The hotel is operated by Kishore Chand of Bhimdatta Municipality–2, Ulltakhama, while his brother Govind Chand was the one assaulted during the incident.

Police Inspector Virendra Singh Thapa of Kanchanpur said the group not only attacked Govind Chand but also assaulted hotel staff members present at the scene. Some of the suspects have already been identified.

The injured Chand was taken to Mahakali Provincial Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

“Efforts are underway to locate those involved in the incident. An investigation is ongoing,” Inspector Thapa said, adding that the hotel property was also damaged during the attack.
