25 Injured in Two Separate Accidents in Chitwan

Twenty-five people were injured in two separate road accidents that occurred on Wednesday along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section, with some reported to be in serious condition.

In the first incident, 13 people were injured when a bus collided with an oil tanker at Dasdhunga at around 3:40 PM. In another accident at Ghumaune, 12 people, including the driver, were injured after a passenger EV microbus crashed into a tipper truck, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal said that the bus (Na 6 Kha 7036), which was traveling from Birgunj to Kathmandu, rammed into a stationary oil tanker (Na 4 Kha 2503) parked on the roadside at Dasdhunga.

The injured were immediately rescued and taken to various hospitals in Bharatpur for treatment. Two of the injured are in critical condition and unable to speak, DSP Khanal added. The drivers of both the bus and the tanker fled the scene after the accident.

Similarly, in the Ghumaune area, an EV microbus (Bagmati Province 06–001 Ja 0093) traveling from Kathmandu to Narayangadh collided with a tipper truck (Na 2 Ka 588) coming from the opposite direction.

Police said all the injured in the second accident are receiving treatment at different hospitals in Bharatpur. Among them, one is in critical condition, nine are moderately injured, and three sustained minor injuries.
