CD Eldense: Dani Ponz: “It is a match marked in red and victory is essential”

Dani Ponz, coach of Eldense, stated with a view to this Wednesday’s match against Huesca at the Nuevo Pepico Amat, postponed by DANA on the 13th matchday of LaLiga Hypermotion, that “victory is fundamental”, since he assured that the victory of last day “makes us more confident in what we do” after putting an end to the bad streak of results.

With three games in eight days, the coach confirmed that he is not considering rotating against Huesca. “We have to bring out the best because we don’t want to go back to the weeks we’ve gone through. It’s a game marked in red and we all have to be united to get it through. Victory is fundamental,” he insisted.

Regarding Huesca, he commented that “they are a very well-worked team that can handle several structures and that they are the best at set pieces. They play with a lot of intensity and, if we are not at their level, we will have a difficult time.”

Assessment of the first third

The Barça coach evaluated the first third of the competition on a personal level and acknowledged that “I enjoy every second at Eldense. We dedicate a lot of hours to it every day. We are in a very tough category with very good teams and the games are very attractive because of the equality and intensity that exists.”

Regarding the prolonged absence of a sports management at the club, Dani Ponz revealed that “the club is working on various possibilities to prepare the winter market”, but assured that “we are focused on the day-to-day life of the team.”

Solidarity before DANA

Finally, the Valencian coach once again referred to what happened in the province of Valencia due to DANA and the solidarity response of Eldense with various actions. “I can only have words of gratitude to the club for how they have dedicated themselves and also to the people of Elda for everything they are doing. What has happened is a terrible misfortune and we know people who are having a very bad time,” he concluded.
