Cyclist Seriously Injured in Siraha Car Accident

A young man was seriously injured after being hit by a car while riding a bicycle in Siraha.

The accident occurred at Amchowk in Dhangadhimai Municipality–10, where approximately 25-year-old Rabin Saday of Dhangadhimai Municipality–11 was struck by a car.

According to reports, the car with registration number Province 3–01–024 Cha 7527, which was traveling from east to west, collided with Saday while he was cycling.

Following the incident, he was rushed to the nearby R.K. Medicity for treatment in critical condition. However, as further treatment was not possible there, he was later referred to Biratnagar for advanced medical care, said Shalikram Timilsina, chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Lahan.

Police stated that Saday sustained serious injuries to his head, hands, and legs.

The driver of the car has been identified as approximately 26-year-old Akash Chaudhary from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–17 in Sunsari. He has been taken into police custody.
