The 2025 World Cup of the F1 is prepared to make the leap. After the first five races of the calendar, the queen category of motor sport is ready to land in the United States for the first time in the season. The Miami Grand Prix will take place on the calendar from May 2 to 4, and will resume the action of Formula 1 after the first ‘triplet’ of the campaign: Japan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

In the last day of the season, in the Jeddah Corniche circuit, Oscar Piastri took advantage of the mistakes of his rivals to conquer his third victory of the season. The Australian pilot, after leaving second on the starting grill, managed to cross the finish line before anyone else and, thanks to the 25 points, it became the new World Cup leader, displacing Lando Norris to the second position.

Following in that same tonic, the only movement in the classification table was in the ‘papaya’ pilots. While Piastri continues to extend his good moment, Lando Norris completed his second consecutive weekend without being present in the first two. Scenario that places him very close to Max Verstappen in the fight for second place.

On the other hand, Charles Leclerc does not lose sight of the leaders. A surprising third place in Jeddah’s layout allowed him to open the gap more with respect to Kimi Antonelli. While on the other side of Maranello’s garage, Lewis Hamilton still does not find himself comfortable and fails to repeat his performance in the China GP sprint, in which he crossed the finish line before anyone else.

Also, Carlos Sainz Jr. had an impressive performance in the Saudi Arabia GP. The Madrid pilot was always in the top 10 places in all the weekend sessions, occupying the eighth race position to add four crucial points for the World Cup. While the stage is not the same for Fernando Alonso, who still does not score in the first five days of the World Cup.
