Eintracht joins Ghana’s action to look for new talents

The Eintracht Frankfurt has announced a new alliance with Accra Lions FC, a Premier League team in Ghana. The association between both teams aims to strengthen international presence and develop new young talents.

The Alliance, between the Bundesliga team and the Ghana League, which will contribute in different aspects, will enter into force as of June of this year. One of the main contributions for the ACCRA Lions FC, will be the contribution to the development of players through optimized training conditions and knowledge transfer.

Another objective is to promote the players of the action FC and open new opportunities in international football. In return, Frankfurt can better know the circumstances and history of Western Africa.

“This association is an important step for our club. We are proud to have a renowned club of the Bundesliga such as the Eintracht Frankfurt. Our players and coaches can benefit greatly from this collaboration, both from the sporty and personal point of view,” said Oliver Koenig, the president of the action Lions FC.

“We see it as a fantastic opportunity for cultural exchange between two football lovers, which can spread far beyond specifically football issues,” Koenig added.

On the other hand, Markus Kroesche, sports director of Eintracht, explained: “We are very satisfied with the association with the action Lions FC, which opens new opportunities for both clubs. This initiative will not only help us discover talents from Africa, but will also contribute to share our sports and organizational experience with a dynamic club such as the action.”

For the Bundesliga Club it is a great opportunity to expand its international network and promote the development of new talents in Western Africa. The ‘Águilas’ consider that this alliance will be an important growth in the African football market, both in sports and social terms.
