Getafe: A final marked by fire

Despite being on matchday fourteen of the EA Sports LaLiga championship, the duel that will take place this Friday to open the return of the competition, between Getafe and Real Valladolid, will be experienced as a true final for José Bordalás’s team.

The Coliseum hosts a duel in the lower zone between two teams that will fight to avoid relegation as the primary objective this campaign. The Azulones, who have only achieved one win in the first thirteen rounds, need that victory to move away from the relegation spots and also leave the Blanquivioletas behind.

‘Geta’ will recover Djené and Berrocal for the match, although with little training time for both the Togolese and Omar Alderete and Bertug Yildirim as all three have attended with their national teams in this league break.

A tough rival in the Coliseum

The visit of Valladolid represents that of a rival that, despite a positive balance in results, is still uncomfortable for those from the south of the Community of Madrid. The Blanquivioletas have visited the Getafense fiefdom on nine occasions in the First Division, having lost in only four of them, winning up to three times with victory.

In fact, the Blanquivioletas have ended their last two visits with victories and have not lost at the Coliseum since 19/20, when Bordalás’ team won 2-0 thanks to goals from Cucurella and Ángel Rodríguez.
