Joao Félix double in Chelsea’s win against Morecambe

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea completed the procedure against the modest Morecambe of League Two (fourth division) in 1/32 of the FA Cup. They won 5-0 at Stamford Bridge with a double from Joao Félix, who scored the last two goals of the match.

Maresca brought out an alternative eleven but with many recognizable faces such as Joao himself, Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Reece James, Adarabioyo, Jorgensen and Marc Guiu. And it worked for him. Although they only went 1-0 at halftime (goal by Adarabiaoyo, Nkunku missed a penalty), they swept the second half.

They shot 28 times and ended up scoring five goals. In addition to the central defender’s goal in the 39th minute, Nkunku, Adarabioyo again (double) and Joao Félix scored twice. Two goals from the Portuguese in two minutes.

Chelsea takes advantage of the FA Cup to regain victory: they had two draws and two defeats in their last four Premier League games.
