It was an open secret… that has now been officially confirmed. Ruud van Nistelrooy is the new manager of Leicester City. He has found work just a few days after leaving United (due to the arrival of Amorim, he was as assistant to Ten Hag and then as interim) and the dismissal of Steve Cooper as coach of the ‘Foxes’.
This is what Leicester City reported:
“The 48-year-old Dutchman joins us with a wealth of experience at the highest level of the game, both as a player and coach, and has agreed terms on a contract until June 2027. Ruud will arrive in the UK in time to be present on our Premier League trip to Brentford on Saturday, before taking on full first-team responsibilities from Sunday.”
I am proud and excited. Everyone I speak to about Leicester City is excited

They have great stories about the quality of the people who work at the club, the fans and of course the recent history of the team is impressive. I’m excited to get started and meet everyone, and give everything I can for the club,” declared the Dutchman.
