A high-level delegation from Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), led by party chairman Rabi Lamichhane, is scheduled to hold key political meetings in the Indian capital today.

The visit comes following an official invitation from India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

High-Level Meetings at BJP Headquarters

The RSP delegation will visit the BJP headquarters in New Delhi to meet with senior Indian political figures, including BJP National President Nitin Nabin.

According to a statement released by the RSP, the discussions will focus primarily on:

  • Democratic processes and party-to-party engagement.
  • Exchanging organizational experiences and political practices.
  • Strengthening bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two neighboring nations.

Expanding Inter-Party Ties

The five-member Nepali delegation arrived in New Delhi on Monday afternoon to initiate this formal dialogue.

The RSP stated that the five-day visit is a strategic effort to expand the party’s international relations and discuss matters of mutual interest directly with India’s leadership.
