Rashford soap opera: half of Europe wants him… and rejects Cesc Fábregas’s Como

Marcus Rashford’s destiny seems written: he will not continue at Manchester United. The English international made it clear in an interview that it was time for a change of scenery and, at the same time, Rúben Amorim, in one of his first decisions, stopped calling him up for the ‘Red Devils’ matches. Everything led to a clear situation: his departure, as soon as possible. And this winter market offers that possibility.

And the reality is that, despite his lowest moments at United, Rashford represents a tremendously interesting opportunity for many clubs. Especially if, as English media report, the Old Trafford team is willing to pay part of his high salary to give him a loan deal until a definitive solution is found next summer.

Even Cesc Fábregas’s Como jumped into the adventure and met with Marcus’s brother, who is his agent, to test the situation. The Hartonos, the billionaire Indonesian owners of the Italian club, could cover any financial request… but as Gianluca Di Marzio reports, Rashford wants a team of a higher level than the Lombards and rejected the idea.

The Englishman has given an unexpected interview that has shaken England

But there are more clubs that want him: West Ham, for example, has been the last to ask. Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund also did it before. Champions League teams that want to have the versatile attacker. In Italy they suggest that San Siro and the Rossoneri would be the Englishman’s preferred destination… in an operation that would harm Morata’s playing time since Rashford, a priori, would act as ‘9’ with Leao on the left and Pulisic on the right.

According to English media reports, the salary is the big obstacle for everyone but a loan could balance the accounts: the attacker earns 15 million pounds a year and is on the podium of the highest paid at Old Trafford along with Casemiro (who could also leave) and Bruno Fernandes.

Rashford promises, without a doubt, to be one of the great soap operas to be resolved in this January transfer market.
