The English League has launched a statement where it formalizes a signing market divided into two periods. The twenty English clubs that make up the Premier League can register players in a first window (June 1 to June 10), in favor of the clubs that play the FIFA Club World Cup that will begin on June 14.
Chelsea and Manchester City are the two English teams that participate in this tournament, so this decision will benefit clubs to be able to reinforce prior to the international competition that will be played in the United States.
Then, the traditional window will open that, in this case, will begin on June 16 and close the signing process on September 1. It should be noted that last season, the English summer signing market began on June 14 and ended on August 30.
And in the head of the clubs, according to the newspaper ‘The Telegraph’, the possibility of closing the market would fit just before starting the 2025/26 season of the Premier League, that is, on August 14.
However, there was a concern to stay at “disadvantage” when negotiating, if its signing window closed before that of the rest of European leagues and others such as the Saudi League, which has spent more than 1,000 million euros in the last two years. So the proposal has not materialized.
