English football has been shocked by a scandal in its lower categories that splashes Manchester United and Manchester City.
‘The Telegraph’ publishes that the two teams of Manchester were wrapped in a plot that imported young people abroad and that six of the main stars of their respective academies could not be the age they said they have.
The English newspaper, which claims to have evidence and photographs, does not mention the names of young soccer players involved and informs that there are suspicions that several of them could have already reached the age of majority.
Ren Rumsby publishes that three of those six players suspected of playing with a false age have become international with England in lower categories.
The photographs would demonstrate that these six quarry players played in lower categories of higher ages in their countries of origin.
The scandal was revealed to the ‘Telegraph Sport’ by several parents of other children who also play in the lower categories of Manchester City and Manchester United.
There is no official City, United, Premier League or the Interior Ministry
The two Manchester clubs, the Premier League and the Ministry of Interior declined to comment on the scandal of the alleged age fraud and did not want to confirm if they planned to take action.
There are no indications that United or City have deliberately allowed age fraud in their quarries.
Official sources say that everything was done by complying with the regulations, including the hiring and discharge of the players in question.
None of the players have undergone scientific evidence that can indicate their real age
In England, doubts are raised about whether enough to verify the age of the six players. The ‘Telegraph Sport’ publishes that none of them has undergone scientific evidence that can indicate the age of a child or if someone is over 18 years old.
According to the Nationality and Borders Law of 2022, these tests can be carried out to those who are subject to immigration control when entering the United Kingdom. This includes those who do not have sufficient evidence to demonstrate their age and doubt their declaration of being minor, or declare to be adults but it is suspected that they are.
The plot of age fraud in English football could end in a minors traffic crime
Any age fraud scandal that involves young players in English clubs would also raise the possibility of traffic from minors to the United Kingdom.
According to FIFA standards, teams are practically prohibited to sign minors who have moved from the country, unless their parents or legal guardians have moved for non -football reasons. The falsification of the age of a young player would raise doubts about the reason for such a measure.
