Two Teenagers Arrested with Stolen Bullets from Durbar Marg

Kathmandu: Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with bullets stolen from a police post at Durbar Marg.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 17-year-old Anish Giri, originally from Badaiyatala, Bardiya, now residing in Kapan, Kathmandu, and 16-year-old Sonam Thapamagar from Jhilmila, Jhapa, currently living in Maligaun, Kathmandu.

According to police, the Koteshwor police team apprehended Giri on Friday night during a routine check in Narephat after he was found behaving suspiciously. A subsequent search revealed three bullets stolen from the Durbar Marg police station in his possession.

Further investigation based on Giri’s statement led authorities to Thapamagar, in whose room two additional bullets marked “311 23” were recovered.

Both teenagers are currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities have not disclosed whether any charges have been formally filed.
