Woman Killed in Elephant Attack in Kanchanpur

A woman has died after being attacked by an elephant in Banakatti, which is part of Bhimdutta Municipality-14 in Kanchanpur.

Police confirmed that the victim, identified as 45-year-old Dhana Bista, passed away following the attack. The incident occurred late Monday night when an elephant, which had strayed from the Shuklaphanta National Park, broke through the wall of her house. Ms. Bista was attacked by the animal while attempting to flee.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sagar Bohara of the Kanchanpur District Police Office, others in the house managed to escape and save their lives.
