Update: Fire at Martadi Furniture Store Still Out of Control

A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon at a furniture and garage store in Martadi, the headquarters of Bajura district, and it is still not under control.

The fire started at Saugat General Store and Order Suppliers. According to the store owner, Prakash Thapa, the fire began due to an electrical short circuit. The store had furniture items, plywood, glass, motor parts, and other materials, which made the fire spread quickly.

Eyewitnesses said the fire could not be controlled even after about an hour because there is no fire engine in the district headquarters. Security personnel and local residents are trying to put out the fire using available tools and resources.
