12 Kathhas of Harvested Paddy Burned in Mahottari

In Mahottari, 12 kathhas of paddy that were prepared for threshing were set on fire.

The paddy belonged to Kishori Yadav of Harinmari, Ward No. 9 of Bhangaha Municipality. Unknown people burned the harvested rice.

The Yadav family is deeply saddened because they had worked very hard to grow the crop during the dry season. They had already harvested the paddy and arranged it for threshing. The tractor driver had even scheduled the threshing for this afternoon.

But when the family went to the field early in the morning, they found the entire paddy pile burnt to ashes, Yadav said.

He believes someone may have burned the crop out of anger or revenge. He has requested the authorities to investigate the incident, identify the culprit, and take strict action.
