NPL 2025: Double Header Today in Kathmandu

Two matches will be played today in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) taking place in Kathmandu.

At the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, the first match will start at 11:15 AM between Sudurpashchim Royals and Biratnagar Kings. The second match will start at 3:30 PM between Chitwan Rhinos and Pokhara Avengers.

Sudurpashchim has already reached the first qualifier with 12 points from six matches and remains unbeaten, so the team has no pressure today. Biratnagar, which has 8 points and has secured a place in the playoffs, needs a win today to enter the first qualifier.

If Biratnagar wins with a good run rate, they will join Sudurpashchim in the first qualifier. Otherwise, they will have to play the eliminator match against Lumbini Lions. After that, the first qualifier will be played between Sudurpashchim and Kathmandu Gorkhas.

The afternoon match between Chitwan and Pokhara will only be a match for pride, as both teams are already out of the playoff race. Each team has only four points from six matches.
