Lionel Messi Arrives in India for GOAT India Tour 2025

Star Argentine footballer Lionel Messi arrived in Kolkata, India, on Saturday morning. He was joined by footballers Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.

Messi came to Kolkata as part of the GOAT India Tour 2025. Thousands of fans gathered at Kolkata airport to catch a glimpse of him. According to news agency PTI, many fans had been waiting since late night. Messi’s flight landed in Kolkata at 2:26 am (Indian time) on Saturday.

Under the GOAT India Tour 2025, Messi will stay in India for three days. During his visit, he will travel to four Indian cities, according to the BBC.

This is Messi’s first visit to India in 14 years. On Saturday, he is scheduled to play a friendly football match in Hyderabad and take part in cultural programs, as reported by Dainik Bhaskar.

During his India tour, Messi is also expected to meet Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and former Indian cricket captains Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar.

He is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 15, after which his India tour will come to an end.
