Gun Shot at Lamahi Hotel Injures Worker

A week after a jeweler was shot in Lamahi, Dang Deukhuri, another gun incident has happened at a hotel.

On Saturday morning, a gun went off at a hotel in Ratodanda, Lamahi, injuring one person.

Police said the gun fired from a pistol at the Royal Palace Hotel. An 18-year-old hotel worker, Sisham Gautam, was injured in the incident.

Dang District Police spokesperson Chakrabahadur Shah said Gautam was hurt on his finger. His condition is normal.

Gautam told police that the pistol suddenly fired while he was cleaning a room. The gun was kept on top of an air conditioner. It is not yet known who owns the pistol or why it was there.

After receiving information about the incident, a police team led by Inspector Roshanraj Pandey from the Lamahi Area Police Office reached the hotel. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, on Mangsir 20, a shopkeeper was injured when a person trying to rob Juntara gold and silver shop in Lamahi fired a pistol.

About a week later, at around 11 am on Saturday, another pistol fired at a hotel in Lamahi. A local resident said these repeated incidents have increased security concerns.

Just a few days earlier, on Mangsir 22, 45-year-old hotel owner Keshavraj Khanal was found dead inside his hotel, Hotel Arghakhanchi and Lodge, in Lamahi market.
