Truck accident Injures six in Sindhuli

Six people, including the driver, have been injured after a Bolero pickup truck veered off a mountain road and plunged 150 metres into a ravine in Sindhuli district.

The accident occurred at Gadamre in Tinpatan Rural Municipality-6 while the vehicle (registration Ba 17 Cha 3103) was en route to Chakmake. According to local police, the truck lost control on a stretch of road before tumbling down the steep slope.

District Police Chief Laldhwoj Subedi confirmed that all six occupants sustained injuries of varying severity. The driver, 27-year-old Pushpa Tamang, suffered injuries to his arms and legs. Among the passengers, Sabitra Thapa, 24, sustained back and leg injuries, while 28-year-old Sabita Burja reportedly lost mobility in her left leg.

Two other passengers, Punam Pulami, 23, and Arjun Tamang, 23, are being treated for head injuries. A sixth passenger, Niraj Tamang, 21, was also taken to the hospital, though police noted he had no visible external wounds.

Emergency services rescued the victims from the wreckage and transported them to Sindhuli District Hospital for treatment. An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
