Man Dies After Falling from Tree in Makawanpur

A young man died after falling from a tree in Makawanpur. Rajkumar Humagai, 40, from Makranchuli, Gadhi Rural Municipality–3, fell while cutting grass from a tree.

The incident occurred in his own field, about 100 meters north of his house, while he was harvesting grass from a Champ tree.

Humagai, who was seriously injured, was initially treated at Hetauda Hospital and then referred to the New Medical College in Chitwan for further treatment. He died during treatment on Saturday morning, police reported.

According to the Makawanpur District Police Office, 13 people died and 16 were injured last fiscal year in Makawanpur due to falls from trees and cliffs. In the current fiscal year, three people have died and seven have been injured from falls off cliffs.
