Eight Injured in Clash Between Locals and Sant Rampal Followers in Dhanusha

Eight people were injured during a clash between followers of Indian spiritual leader Sant Rampal and local residents in front of Sant Rampal Ashram in Sukjor, Mithila Municipality–2, Dhanusha. The confrontation arose over an alleged encroachment of public land.

Police fired seven tear gas shells to control the situation, according to Inspector Rajaram Yadav of Shakhuba Mahendranagar Police Station.

During the clash, locals blocked the Janakpur–Dhalkebar road and also damaged an ambulance near Ori Bridge in Shakhuba Mahendranagar.

Inspector Yadav confirmed that the situation is now gradually returning to normal.
