Eight people were injured in a clash over alleged land encroachment in front of Sant Rampal Ashram in Sukjor, Mithila Municipality–2, Dhanusha.

To control the situation, a total of 16 tear gas shells were fired. The Nepal Police used 7 shells, while the Armed Police Force fired 9 shells, according to Ganesh Bam, police spokesperson and DSP of Dhanusha.

The injured are all local residents. During the clash, locals also blocked the Janakpur–Dhalkebar road and damaged an ambulance near Ori Bridge in Shakhuba Mahendranagar.
