Two Killed, Four Injured in Tractor Accident in Syangja

Two people have died in a tractor accident in Syangja district while the vehicle was traveling from Waling to Chapakot. The deceased have been identified as 65-year-old Dolraj Koirala of Waling Municipality-7, Kevere, and 35-year-old Rajkumar Chaudhary of Tikapur Municipality-7 in Kailali.

Doctors declared both victims dead during treatment at the Primary Health Center in Waling.

According to district police, the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when a tractor (registration number Lu 3 Ta 5173) carrying stones lost control and plunged about 10 meters off the road while heading from Waling toward Chapakot.

Four other people were injured in the incident. District Police Information Officer DSP Prasann Raj Chaudhary said the injured include 28-year-old Lal Bahadur Sunar of Sarawal Rural Municipality-1 in West Nawalparasi; 22-year-old Shyam Chaudhary and 39-year-old Laxman Chaudhary of Lamki Municipality-5 in Kailali; and 35-year-old Hukum Bahadur Darlami of Rapti Rural Municipality-5 in Dang.

After receiving initial treatment at the Waling Health Center, the injured were referred to Pokhara for further medical care.
