Gold Price Jumps by NPR 10,400 in a Single Day in Nepal

Gold prices surged sharply on Wednesday, rising by NPR 10,400 per tola in a single day.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has been fixed at NPR 295,100 per tola, marking the highest level ever recorded in Nepal. On the previous day, gold was traded at NPR 284,700 per tola.

The increase in domestic gold prices is largely driven by a strong rise in the international market. Globally, gold prices have crossed USD 4,850 per ounce, putting upward pressure on local rates.

Silver prices have also increased. Compared to the previous day, silver rose by NPR 40 per tola. Silver, which was traded at NPR 5,880 per tola earlier, has now reached NPR 5,920 per tola.
