Seven Stranded in Roshi River Flood

Seven people have been stranded in a flood in the Roshi River following continuous rainfall on Friday evening.

According to SP Komal Shah, chief of the District Police Office Kavre, the individuals are trapped near Chaukidanda along the river, and rescue efforts are currently underway.

Police said a vehicle was swept away by the flood. “As the vehicle was being carried away, the passengers got out and climbed onto a large rock for safety. Rescue operations are facing difficulties due to darkness and ongoing rainfall,” SP Shah said.

A police team led by Ganesh Shrestha from the Bhakunde Police Post has already reached the site.
