Scooter Rider Killed in Tipper Collision in Banepa

A scooter rider was killed after being hit by a tipper truck in Banepa of Kavre along the Araniko Highway.

The accident occurred on Wednesday at Telecom Chowk in Banepa when a tipper truck (Bagmati Province 01004 Ka 3423) collided with a scooter (Bagmati Province 02-063 Pa 9189). The scooter rider died on the spot, leading to tension in the area.

Following the incident, angry locals set the tipper on fire and obstructed the road. Police later removed the burned vehicle and resumed traffic operations.

According to police, the identity of the deceased has yet to be confirmed. The body has been kept at Sheer Memorial Hospital in Banepa.

One person was injured in the accident. Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
