Bayern Munich Edge Real Madrid 6–4 to Reach Champions League Semi-Finals

German club Bayern Munich have advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after a dramatic victory over Spanish giants Real Madrid.

In the second leg of the quarter-final played last night at Allianz Arena, Bayern secured a thrilling 4–3 win, sealing a 6–4 aggregate victory.

The match got off to a lightning start, with Arda Güler scoring in the very first minute to give Real Madrid an early lead. Bayern responded quickly, as Aleksandar Pavlović equalised in the 6th minute.

Güler struck again in the 29th minute to restore Madrid’s advantage, but Harry Kane brought Bayern level once more in the 38th minute. Just before halftime, Kylian Mbappé scored to give Real Madrid a 3–2 lead going into the break, with the aggregate score tied at 4–4.

The second half was relatively calmer until a dramatic finish unfolded. In the 86th minute, Real Madrid were reduced to 10 men after Eduardo Camavinga received a second yellow card.

Bayern capitalised on the numerical advantage late in the game. Luis Díaz scored in the 89th minute to put Bayern ahead, and in stoppage time, Michael Olise added another goal to secure the 4–3 win and a 6–4 aggregate triumph.

Güler was also sent off in injury time, compounding a difficult ending for Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich will now face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals as they aim for a place in the final.
