Chitwan Rhinos Sets 121-Run Target for Pokhara Avengers

Chitwan Rhinos have set a target of 121 runs for Pokhara Avengers in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL).

In the day-night match at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur on Saturday, Chitwan won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 120 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Since both teams are already out of the playoff race, this match will not affect the tournament. However, both teams want to finish their final game with a win.

For Chitwan, Dev Khanal scored the highest with 35 runs. Ugandan player Alpesh Ramjani, who made his NPL debut in this match, remained not out with 33 runs from 22 balls. Captain Kushal Malla added 23 runs, and Saif Zaib scored 17 runs.

Chitwan lost 3 early wickets for just 7 runs. Then, Dev Khanal and Saif Zaib put together a 38-run partnership. After Zaib was out, Dev partnered with captain Kushal Malla for 25 runs. Later, Kushal and Ramjani added another 39 runs for the sixth wicket.

For Pokhara, Dhananjaya Lakshan took 3 wickets, giving away only 20 runs in 3.4 overs. Bibin Khatri, Rohit Chand, and Kiran Thagunna took one wicket each.
