Chitwan Rhinos Win Toss, Elect to Field Against Kathmandu Gorkhas

In the opening match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) today, the Chitwan Rhinos won the toss and have elected to bowl first. Chitwan’s captain, Kushal Malla, invited the Kathmandu Gorkhas to bat at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

The Kathmandu Gorkhas have fielded an unchanged lineup from their previous fixture. The Chitwan Rhinos, however, made one change, bringing Rijan Dhakal back into the team in place of Amar Singh Routela.

Heading into this contest, the Chitwan Rhinos have played three matches, recording two victories and one loss. The Kathmandu Gorkhas have played four matches, resulting in two wins and two defeats. Both teams currently hold four points in the league standings, but the Chitwan Rhinos are ranked higher in third place due to a superior net run rate.
