CPN-UML Holds Large Rally at Bhrikutimandap

The CPN-UML party has organized a mass rally today at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. The event is being held with the slogan, “Protecting the Constitution and Democracy is our shared responsibility.”

The rally is organized by the party’s Bagmati Province Committee. According to the party, the event will include a demonstration and a public meeting. Top leaders are scheduled to give speeches. Before the meeting begins, party leaders and workers will march in a procession to reach Bhrikutimandap.

Security in Kathmandu has been tightened because of the rally, with a heavy presence of security personnel deployed across the city. Just yesterday, on Friday, the party announced the formation of a “Volunteer Force” led by Pushparaj Shrestha to assist with the event.

The Bagmati Province Committee stated that all preparations for the demonstration are complete. The main assembly is set to start shortly after the procession arrives at the venue.
