Five Vehicles Accident in Bagmati Corridor UN Park Road, One Dead

A major accident occurred on the Bagmati Corridor road near UN Park in Lalitpur, involving five vehicles.

A van (Ba.Pr.01-029 Cha 3896) going from Kupandol Bridge toward the UN Park Bridge hit a car coming from the opposite direction (Ba.Pr.01-022 Cha 0061), another car (Ba 2 Jha 4760), a second van (Ba.Pr.01-029 Cha 8145), and a scooter (Ba 51 Pa 9569) coming from Kupandol.

The accident happened around 4 PM on Thursday.

The scooter rider, Rajiv Sinha (around 45), from Gaur Municipality-9, Rautahat, was seriously injured. He was taken to Norvic Hospital for treatment but died at around 4:30 PM.

Police have taken all four drivers and the vehicles into custody at Jawalakhel Police Office. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
