Four Teams Set to Compete in Today’s NPL Cricket Fixtures

The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament is set to feature two matches today at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. The day’s action will begin with the Chitwan Rhinos facing the Kathmandu Gorkhas at 11:45 AM, followed by the Karnali Yaks playing the Biratnagar Kings in the afternoon match scheduled for 4:00 PM.

The first match pits two closely ranked teams against each other in the league standings. The Chitwan Rhinos currently occupy the third spot with four points from three matches played. The Kathmandu Gorkhas hold the fourth position, having also secured four points, though from a total of four matches.

In the second fixture, the Karnali Yaks are under pressure to secure a win to keep their playoff aspirations alive. They have accumulated two points from three games played so far in the tournament.

The Biratnagar Kings, sitting in second place on the points table, have a stronger outlook. The team has six points after competing in four matches. A victory in today’s contest would significantly simplify their path toward securing a position in the playoffs.
