Indian Security Enter Parsa, Nepal Without Permission Promts National Security

A group of armed Indian security personnel entered Nepali territory on Friday, crossing into Dhobini Rural Municipality-5 in Parsa District while traveling in a marked vehicle. Local officials confirmed that the personnel were in uniform and carrying weapons when they crossed the border into the administrative region.

Madan Prasad Chauhan, Chairperson of the Dhobini Rural Municipality, reported that the security forces entered the area without seeking necessary permissions from Nepali authorities. According to local accounts, the Indian personnel continued their movement through the village and visited a local police post despite being questioned by residents regarding their lack of authorization.

Video footage circulating on social media shows local residents confronting the personnel, asking for documentation or legal justification for their presence on Nepali soil. The footage highlights a brief period of tension as community members observed the unauthorized vehicle traveling through the municipality.

Parsa Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal confirmed the incident, stating that the administration was made aware of the unauthorized crossing shortly after it occurred. He noted that the situation was eventually resolved after local police coordinated with the Indian group to facilitate their return across the border.

The incident has raised questions regarding border protocol and the standard operating procedures required for cross-border movement by uniformed personnel. Local authorities have emphasized the importance of following official channels to maintain security and diplomatic norms between the two neighboring districts.
