Man found dead in Isma Gulmi district

A 47-year-old man from Isma Rural Municipality–2, Rajchaur, in Gulmi district has been found dead, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Nim Bahadur Kumal. According to police, he left his home at around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, telling family members that he was heading to Tamghas, the district headquarters.

After he failed to return or make contact, family members began searching for him. During the search, he was found dead at around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday in an irrigation canal of the Chhaldipanah stream in Isma–2, police said.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team from Hastichaur Police Post, led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Binay Kumar Shrivastav, was dispatched to the scene.

A separate team from the District Police Office, Gulmi, led by Inspector Parbat Kumar KC, has also been deployed to the site for further investigation.

Police said an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death.
