Nepal Premier League: Two Matches Scheduled Today

Two matches will be played today in the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The first match will start at 11:45 AM at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. In this match, Chitwan Rhinos will play against Karnali Yaks. The second match will be between Biratnagar Kings and Pokhara Avengers. All four teams want to start the tournament with a good performance.

Chitwan will be led by captain Kushal Malla, while Sompal Kami will captain Karnali. Sandeep Lamichhane will lead Biratnagar, and Kushal Bhurtel will captain Pokhara.

Last season, Chitwan and Karnali played each other twice, once in the league stage and once in the playoffs. Karnali won both matches.

Similarly, in the one match between Biratnagar and Pokhara last season, Pokhara came out on top. Raymon Reifer was the standout player for Pokhara in that game, and he is playing for them again this season.

Earlier on Monday, Kathmandu Gorkhas made a strong start by defeating the defending champions Janakpur Bolts by five wickets. With this win, Kathmandu earned two points on the table.

The tournament, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), began on Mangsir 1. The final match will take place on Mangsir 27. The winning team will receive prize money of 1 crore 10 lakh rupees.
