Pedestrian Killed in Bus Accident in Kavre

One person has died after being hit by a bus traveling from Kathmandu to Sindhuli. The accident happened in Kavre.

According to the Kavre District Police Office, an Arniko Super Express bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 4808) hit a pedestrian at Patlegaun in Namobuddha-2 along the BP Highway. The victim, 68-year-old local resident Pot Bahadur Katuwal, died on the spot.

After the incident, local people blocked the highway in protest. Vehicles are not moving on the Kavrebhanjyang–Bhakundebesi section of the BP Highway.

Due to the road blockage, vehicles heading east have been stopped at Dhulikhel.
