Rain and Snow Expected in Several Provinces Today

Due to the influence of a western wind system and a low-pressure area formed over the Arabian Sea, most parts of Nepal are likely to experience cloudy weather today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain and snowfall are expected this afternoon in some areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of other provinces. Light rain is also possible in a few parts of the Tarai.

Heavy rain and snowfall are likely in a few high-hill and mountain areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, while the Tarai region will see partly cloudy conditions.

The Division has forecast moderate rain and snowfall in some areas of Gandaki province, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Koshi provinces. Heavy snowfall or rainfall may occur in a few high-altitude areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the Division added.
