Real Madrid Go Top of La Liga After 4-1 Win Over Real Sociedad

Real Madrid have moved to the top of the Spanish La Liga table. They climbed to first place after defeating Real Sociedad 4-1 in last night’s match.

Vinicius Junior scored two goals for Madrid, while Gonzalo Garcia and Federico Valverde added one goal each. For Sociedad, Mikel Oyarzabal scored the only goal.

Madrid took the lead early in the 5th minute through Garcia. Sociedad equalized in the 21st minute when Oyarzabal found the net.

In the 25th minute, Vinicius converted a penalty to put Madrid back in front. Valverde then scored in the 31st minute, extending Madrid’s lead to 3-1.

Vinicius scored his second goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 48th minute, sealing a convincing 4-1 victory.

With this win, Real Madrid now have 60 points from 24 matches and sit at the top of the league. Barcelona are second with 58 points, having played one match fewer.

Barcelona will face Girona tonight, and a win would take them back to the top of the table.
