Motorcycle Rider Killed After Tipper Truck Hit in Hetauda

A motorcycle rider has died after being hit by a tipper truck at Sipali Chowk in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–16, along the Dharan–Chatara road section.

The accident happened when a 10-wheeled tipper truck (Province 03-001K 0143) traveling from Hetauda to Thulodam hit a motorcycle (Province 03-003P 3192) going in the same direction. The motorcycle rider, 42-year-old Man Bahadur Manandhar of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–17, was seriously injured.

Manandhar was taken to Purano Medical College in Chitwan for treatment, where he died on Tuesday night.

After the accident, the tipper truck fled the scene. Police later traced and seized the vehicle. The tipper driver, Tilak Bahadur Pakhrin of Makawanpur Gadhi Rural Municipality–7, has come into police contact, according to Makawanpur District Police Office spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati.
