Shram Sanskriti Party Suspends Vice President Mitra Pariyar Following Disciplinary Violations

The Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Harka Sampang, announced the suspension of Central Vice President Dr. Mitra Pariyar on Monday evening citing violations of party conduct. The decision follows a public dispute during a party mass meeting in Butwal on December 20, where Pariyar allegedly challenged the organizing committee and used inappropriate language toward a district official. This marks the second high-level suspension within the week, following the removal of another Vice President, Debraj Lama.

According to an official press release issued by Chairman Sampang, the disciplinary action was prompted by two primary incidents. First, the party alleges that Pariyar delivered an unauthorized public speech in Butwal that contravened the organization’s code of conduct and insulted the event organizers. Second, the party accused Pariyar of using abusive language against District Co-coordinator Keshav Nyaupane.

The conflict escalated during the Butwal assembly when Pariyar, who was appointed as Vice President earlier this month, demanded floor time to speak. Witnesses reported that when his request was not immediately met, he publicly challenged the event schedule. When Chairman Sampang attempted to leave the stage to interact with supporters, Pariyar reportedly directed him to stop in a firm manner, which the party leadership interpreted as a challenge to organizational management and hierarchy.

In his defense, Pariyar stated via social media that the organizers had mismanaged the event schedule and ignored his status as a central leader. He claimed his actions were a response to being publicly sidelined despite his efforts to ensure the success of the gathering. Pariyar maintained that asking for the right to speak as a high-ranking official should not be classified as a disciplinary offense.

The Shram Sanskriti Party, which adheres to a philosophy known as Harkavad, emphasizes labor, equality, and disciplined conduct. The party leadership stated that no member, regardless of their title, is permitted to display arrogance or disrespect toward other members. The official statement emphasized that the party’s core values require all leaders to maintain humility and adhere strictly to collective decisions.

Party spokesperson Satya Ghale Gurung confirmed that the suspension is currently temporary. The spokesperson noted that the disciplinary measure could be lifted if Pariyar issues a formal apology for his conduct. The party remains focused on maintaining organizational integrity as it continues to establish its political presence.
