Three Killed in Jeep Accident in Palpa

Three people have died in a jeep accident in Mityal, Nisdi Rural Municipality–4, Palpa.

The jeep crashed at a place called Eklefoksing on the Mityal–Arunkhola road section, near Chyuribasan in Nisdi–4.

According to police, eight people were injured in the accident. The jeep (Lu 1 Ja 3908) was traveling from Arunkhola, Nawalpur, toward Rampur, Palpa when it crashed on Friday morning.

Police said that three people died on the spot, but their identities have not been confirmed yet, said DSP Hom Prakash Chaudhary of District Police Office Palpa.

Locals reported that the jeep rolled backward on an uphill road while passengers were getting off, which caused the accident. The vehicle fell nearly one kilometer down the slope.

The injured have been rescued and taken to the Provincial Hospital in Danda, Nawalpur.
