Tractor Accident at Jukepani in Gulmi

A tractor transporting road maintenance materials overturned and fell approximately 150 meters off the roadway at Jukepani in Isma Rural Municipality-1 on Wednesday morning. The vehicle, identified by registration number Lu 4 Ta 836, was traveling along the Jukepani-Nayapokhara motor road when the driver lost control.

The District Police Office in Gulmi confirmed that while the tractor sustained significant damage, there were no fatalities or serious injuries reported. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru stated that the vehicle was carrying essential supplies, including cement and fuel drums, for local infrastructure repairs.

At the time of the incident, the tractor was operated by 24-year-old Rajesh Gandharva, a resident of Isma-4, Doholi. Following the accident, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Ram Achal Yadav from the Isma Police Post was dispatched to the scene to assess the situation and coordinate recovery efforts.

Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, which occurred on a steep section of the rural road network. Traffic police have reminded operators to exercise caution when transporting heavy construction materials on narrow mountainous routes to prevent similar occurrences.
