Tractor Accident Kills 3, Injures 19 Workers in Makwanpur

A serious tractor accident in the Adheri area of Makwanpur district has resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to nineteen others. The incident occurred when a tractor, bearing registration number Lu 5 Ta 174, overturned in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7, Adheri.

The three victims who died have been identified as residents of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7, Adheri: Keshav Majhi (approximately 50-55 years old), Yuvraj Majhi (approximately 50-55 years old), and Santalal Majhi (45 years old). Although the injured were transported to Hetauda Hospital for immediate treatment, medical personnel pronounced these three individuals deceased upon arrival.

The nineteen injured individuals are currently receiving medical attention at Hetauda Hospital and Chure Hill Hospital. Police have confirmed that the individuals involved in the accident were laborers working on the Kathmandu-Terai-Madhesh Expressway, also known as the Fast Track project.

According to police reports, the workers were riding in the tractor as they returned from their shift to have a meal when the vehicle overturned. Authorities are investigating the cause of the tragic accident.
