Kageshwori Manohara Ward Chair Bhimsen Thapa Passes Away

The ward chairperson of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality–7 in Kathmandu, Bhimsen Thapa, has passed away. Because of his death, the municipality has declared a public holiday today.

According to Chief Administrative Officer Purushottam Subedi, Thapa died on Thursday while receiving treatment at Nepal Cancer Hospital in Harisiddhi.

He had been elected as ward chairperson from the Nepali Congress party during the local elections.

In his memory, the municipality issued a condolence notice and announced a holiday today for all ward offices, health centers except emergency services, Ayurvedic clinics, and both community and institutional schools under the municipality.
