Nepal begin their Women’s SAFF Championship 2026 campaign against Bhutan in Goa, with debutant Anita Lamjel named in the starting lineup for the Group A opener.

Nepal will face Bhutan on Monday in the opening match of the Women’s SAFF Championship 2026. Head coach Nabin Neupane has announced his starting eleven for the Group A clash, with forward Anita Lamjel set to make her debut for the national team.

The match will be played at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa, India.

Captain Anjila Subba will start in goal for Nepal. The defensive line includes Gita Rana, Puja Rana, Bimala Bik and Hira Kumari Bhujel.

In midfield, Renuka Nagarkote and Deepa Shahi have been named in the lineup.

The attacking trio alongside debutant Lamjel features Anita Basnet, Rashmi Kumari Ghising and Rekha Poudel.

Sri Lanka is the other team in Nepal’s group. The top two teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the semifinals.

In the previous edition of the tournament, Bhutan held Nepal to a goalless draw.
