Ferrari has officially ushered in a new era of automotive history with the introduction of the Ferrari Luce, a fully electric vehicle that reimagines the iconic brand’s approach to performance and luxury. Boasting a radical new architecture, the Luce is an all-wheel-drive, four-door, five-seat powerhouse designed to be the most versatile and spacious Ferrari ever built, without compromising the marque’s legendary driving dynamics.

A Landmark Design Collaboration In a significant departure from traditional automotive design processes, the Ferrari Luce was designed in partnership with Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson of the renowned creative collective, LoveFrom.

This collaboration has yielded a vehicle characterized by what Ferrari calls “clarity and coherence.” A singular design language unites the exterior, interior, and user interface with refined simplicity. Inside the cabin, forms are deliberately simplified and rationalized in service of the driving experience. The interior blends the best of both physical and digital worlds, featuring tactile mechanical buttons, switches, and dials paired with advanced multifunctional digital displays.

Engineering and Aerodynamics Engineered, developed, and manufactured entirely at Ferrari’s home in Maranello, the Luce sits on a bespoke technical platform.

A heavy preoccupation with efficiency has resulted in the lowest drag coefficient in Ferrari’s history. This was achieved through meticulous aero-styling convergence, including active air shutters and an intelligent ride-height logic that automatically lowers the front of the car by 10 millimeters while cruising.

Reinventing the Ferrari Sound Addressing one of the biggest challenges in the EV space the loss of the traditional combustion engine roar—Ferrari has engineered an “authentic and functional” sound experience. Rather than pumping artificial engine noise into the cabin, the Luce captures actual electro-mechanical vibrations from the axles. These natural sound waves are then equalized, amplified, and delivered to the cabin alongside visual feedback. This system actively informs the driver of torque shifting in Manual and Performance modes, allowing drivers to sustain involvement and control across acceleration and deceleration using paddles.

Connectivity and Longevity To complement the new electric architecture, the automaker has launched the dedicated Ferrari Luce App, which allows owners to remotely control climate, monitor charging settings, and display the car’s real-time status.

Furthermore, Ferrari is promising a “Ferrari is Forever” commitment for the Luce, offering long-term factory-backed support, updates, and servicing for high-voltage components, including the batteries and electric power systems, to ensure the vehicle preserves its performance over time.
