N’Doye Strikes Early in Second Half to Double Switzerland’s Lead

Switzerland doubled their advantage early in the second half against Canada in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 clash.

Playing at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada, Dan Ndoye found the net just 48 seconds after the restart, giving Switzerland a commanding two-goal lead.

The Nottingham Forest winger finished clinically to score his side’s second goal, putting the Swiss firmly in control of the knockout-stage encounter.

Switzerland had taken the lead in the 10th minute through Breel Embolo, who converted a well-timed pass from Johan Manzambi to open the scoring.

With Ndoye’s quick strike at the start of the second half, Switzerland strengthened their grip on the match as they looked to secure a place in the next round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
